I first started at HYI two years ago and I’m so glad I did. I didn’t know if I could do it, but the instructors are very helpful and guide the classes in a way that’s easy to understand. For me, it’s a great way to “de-stress” and come back to my true self. Thank You, HYI.
It is the only truly hot yoga studio anywhere. I have been a member of Hot Yoga Inc since they first opened in the Northgate neighborhood of Seattle. The hot room and excellent teachers drew me in at first, but it’s the wonderful results that made me a regular practitioner for all these ten or so years. When the Northgate studio closed, I, like many others, was heartbroken. It was like losing a close friend. I tried every other yoga studio in a half hour radius from my house and in the end I just decided there was nothing at all close to the heat and the teachers at HYI, so now i drive to Mill Creek. Yup I drive from North Seattle to Mill Creek all the time specifically for HYI.
I tried every “hot” yoga class around and honestly this studio is the ONLY truly hot studio. Hot and sweaty, just the way we want it. I am an avid skier, backpacker, hiker, and I’m an ASL Interpreter for a living. I need my body in tip top shape, and I credit HYI for keeping me strong and healthy. Power, Hatha, Sculpt…..all my favorites in a hot, infrared, and humid heat, to really level up your workout and your health. 🙏
Yoga fixes everything. I am perpetually physically unbalanced from cycling. Without yoga I’d be Quasimodo. I like the instructors at Hot Yoga Inc. They consistently offer solid classes without excessive spiritualism yadda yadda. Too much of that would send me packing. Hot Yoga Inc is hot. Sometimes it is way too hot for me, but it must be generally OK given that I never leave class and I keep coming back year after year after year, etc. It is good for a cleansing river of sweat and great for loosening up hammies, shoulders, and calves (for a biker/hiker body). My advice to anyone reading this… come to Hot Yoga Inc, expect it to be challenging, and don’t quit.
This is an uplifting experience…..a place for positive community with friendly people, lively and fun workouts of great variety, and a definite sanctuary for health and fitness. I was a college rower, then an avid distance runner, then a triathlete. Fitness, exercise and results from those efforts has always been important to me. Six years ago my general practice doctor shared with me the idea of hot yoga. I knew this discipline was excellent for strength, balance and flexibility…..and the added benefit of heat to encourage sweating was ideal for my workout regimen. So, I gave it a try at Hot Yoga, Inc. What I came to appreciate was the positive energy of a studio full of like minded people —- from all walks of life —- and the outstanding instruction and leadership by the many talented staff instructors. I can not be more thankful that this outstanding studio is available seven days a week.
I had gone through some things in my life that had me feeling down and not happy with my physical appearance, and the dreary weather had me longing for the sun. I joined Hot Yoga Inc. on 12/6/2022. As of 2/13/23 I’ve completed 52 classes. I feel so much happier now and have way more energy! I already see changes in my body. My husband even noticed the changes in me and even joined me for class.
I’ve lost 7 lbs. It feels so good to like your body. I love it, love it love it.
I look forward to practicing and I’m very happy to have joined HYI!
January 19th is my yoga anniversary. I took my first class at Mill Creek 14 years ago, in 2009!! And never looked back! 🤗 🔥I really enjoy teaching and love HYI! Holds a special place in my heart, and I know it does for A LOT of people.
First class at Hot Yoga Inc. Jan 22, 2013!
I practice Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai martial arts. Hot Yoga helped me cut down on my injuries and has made a ton of difference in my strength, mobility, and flexibility. I’m able to compete in the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition! On Jan 16th, 2023 I completed my 2342 class!
On January 8th, 2015 I took my first yoga class at Hot Yoga Inc. Before I started doing yoga I had arthritis and hurt all the time. I no longer have back problems or pain. It all has to do with Hot Yoga Inc. Jan 8th, 2023 was my 8-year anniversary at the studio. I just completed my 679th class! I carry much gratitude for HYI. Thank you Linda for having such a beautiful studio.
An accident in 2019 left me with a ruptured disc and torn muscles in my leg. This resulted in surgery in 2019 and 2020. I was facing another surgery in 2022 but my PA, a student at HYI, recommended hot yoga as a preemptive measure. The first class was torturous but afterward, I felt better than I had in years. After nine months, I’m clear of needing a third surgery. While weight loss wasn’t a goal, I’ve lost 36 pounds.
Our favorite class is Hatha. If we can do it, anyone can do it!
Best stress relief! Hot Yoga Inc. has helped me reduce my stress levels considerably.
Relaxing after a long day at work.
The instructors at Hot Yoga Inc. are wonderful. They are positive, inspiring, and answer all my questions. The facilities are clean and peaceful.
Hot Yoga Inc. has given me new strength physically & mentally and has helped heal a knee injury I had from a bad fall. The many different forms of yoga offered and the heat therapy gives me a sense of well-being and balance in my life.
I’ve been coming for years. It’s a great way to decompress and ease my stress levels. Even if I come feeling tired I always leave relaxed and re-energized.
Quiet, peaceful, fantastic! Hatha last night, yin the night before. I slept so good!
I work about 12 hours on the PC. Before yoga I used to get pain in my wrists and my forearms. With regular yoga, 1 to 2x’s a week, I don’t get the pain anymore and I feel a lot better.
Yoga practice has brought my spiritual life to a place of balance I never thought possible. Bringing about a sense of peace and happiness effecting all i come into contact with. I can’t remember being more happy.
I am free from headaches and I am skiing again for the first time in 15 years. I have lost about 35lbs and kept it off. My body is toned and I am happy.
My favorite class is the power. The variety of strong teachers allows me to strengthen my practice through their array of challenging asanas.
Hatha lets me tune in, chill out and shape up — all at the same time. It has that relaxing element, but it doesn’t mean you’re not gonna break a sweat 🙂
